We have an incredibly special event to share with you. Discourse is proud to present our first ever Coffee Producer Showcase. We will be welcoming Alejo Castro all the way from Costa Rica! As a fifth-generation coffee producer, Alejo comes with 200 years of knowledge and family tradition. He will be leading attendees through a presentation encompassing everything specialty coffee related: farming practices, processing methods, varietal research, environmental sustainability, and more! His farm Volcán Azul is highly regarded worldwide for their conservation techniques as well as their strong showings in the Cup of Excellence program in Costa Rica. This award-winning producer is excited to share his expertise with our Milwaukee community - but be warned, the event is going to sell out quickly as attendance will be capped at 25 lucky attendees! Grab your tickets now and treat yourself to a once in a lifetime conversation with a true titan of coffee production. We will have time for a Q+A session so please bring all your burning questions about the alchemy that goes into growing such sought-after coffee!
But that's not all! None of this could have been possible without the incredible support of Chad Morris, owner and roastmaster for Picacho Coffee Roasters. Chad will be joining Alejo and bringing some gorgeous coffees for us to cup and enjoy. New roasts not previously featured at Discourse will be showcased for one night only! We cannot understate how special and informative this event rooted in partnership will be. We are beyond excited to have the opportunity to share our space with both Alejo and Chad - we hope to see you there!
